Jedi is a normal starting profession in NGE. Choose Jedi during character creation and begin without completing an unlock path.

Jedi Must Be Unlocked

Force Sensitivity now awakens organically through gameplay — no required profession, no checklist, no POIs or theme parks. Phase 1 of the Jedi overhaul is now live; expect bugs as it develops.

Becoming Force Sensitive on Talon Pre-CU is no longer about following a checklist. There is no required profession to master, no list of POIs you must visit, no mandatory theme park, and no single correct route to Jedi.

There Is No Checklist

How It Works

Your character's experiences throughout the galaxy gradually strengthen their connection to the Force. Instead of a fixed sequence of steps, many different accomplishments can strengthen your connection over time.

You are free to concentrate on the parts of SWG you enjoy.

What's Gone

  • No single correct route to Jedi

How Do I Progress?

Play the Game

Many different accomplishments can strengthen your connection:

  • Develop your character and learn new skills
  • Fight dangerous enemies, hunt powerful and unusual opponents
  • Run missions
  • Craft
  • Heal and support other players
  • Scout and work with the galaxy's resources
  • Fight for your faction in Galactic Civil War battles

Find Your Own Path

  • A dedicated combatant can awaken through combat.
  • A crafter can make substantial progress through crafting and character development.
  • Doctors and support characters have their own route.
  • Scouts and resource-oriented characters can contribute through their normal activities.
  • Characters who do a little of everything will find that many different experiences contribute to their journey.

Common Questions

Do I Have to Master Professions?

No. Learning and mastering skills can strengthen your connection to the Force, but profession grinding is not a required Jedi unlock.

Dropping and relearning the same skills does not repeatedly advance your connection.

POI Badges or Theme Parks?

No. You are not required to complete POIs, theme parks or a predetermined badge checklist to become Force Sensitive.

Can I Unlock Through Combat?

Yes. However, fighting meaningful and dangerous opponents will be considerably more valuable than endlessly slaughtering trivial creatures.

Seeking out important enemies, undertaking missions and participating in the Galactic Civil War may accelerate a combat-oriented character's journey.

Crafting or Support Gameplay?

Yes. Crafting, medical/support gameplay and other noncombat activities can all contribute.

The system is intended to recognize meaningful gameplay, not simply repetitive button presses.

How Do I Know How Close I Am?

Your Progress Is Hidden

There is no Force Attunement XP bar and no percentage displayed.

Use /checkForceStatus to check in on your connection.

Your Connection Will Speak For Itself

  1. "What is the Force?"
  2. "I feel... something."
  3. "The Force is taking notice."
  4. "Your link with the Force is strong."
  5. "You sense your link with the Force is about to breakthrough!"

You will know when the final breakthrough happens.

Becoming Glowy is only the beginning of your journey toward becoming a Jedi.

 Jedi Overhaul — Phase 1 Now Live

This new Force Sensitivity system is the first step in a larger Jedi overhaul. Expect bugs and some craziness while this gets rolled out.

As part of this change, the following have been removed from the blue frog:

  • Becoming Glowy / Force Sensitive via the frog
  • Force Sensitive and Jedi XP no longer counts toward the frog's max XP
  • Force Sensitive skill boxes can no longer be trained with the frog

Any progress toward the new unlock must be earned — using the frog to train boxes will not count toward it.

Server Rules

These rules apply while playing on SWG Talon. Violations may result in suspension or a permanent ban.

 Taanab — Open World PvP

These planets are full auto-PvP zones with no cloning facility.
Death is permanent. Enter at your own risk. No exceptions.

General Conduct
01
Respect all players. Harassment, hate speech, discrimination or bullying of any kind is not tolerated and will result in immediate action.

No cheating or exploiting. Third-party software, speed hacks, duplication exploits or using any game-breaking bugs for gain is strictly prohibited. Permanent Ban

No impersonation. Do not impersonate staff members, other players, or use names designed to mislead others.

English in global chat. Please use English in the main server channels so staff can moderate effectively. Other languages are welcome in private and group chat.

No spam or flooding. Do not repeatedly spam chat channels, trade channels or private messages.
PvP Rules
01
PvP is consensual on most planets. You must be declared before engaging other players outside of the danger zones.

Taanab is AUTO-PvP. Full PvP, no cloner, no safe zones. Entering these planets means you accept these terms. No Exceptions

No griefing new players. Repeatedly targeting freshly created characters with no equipment is considered griefing and will be actioned.

No spawn camping. Do not repeatedly kill players at or immediately outside their starting locations.
Economy & Trading
01
No real-money trading. Selling in-game items, credits or accounts for real money is strictly prohibited. Permanent Ban

No scamming. Deliberately deceiving other players in trades or transactions will result in punishment.

No credit farming exploits. Do not abuse game mechanics to generate unlimited credits or items.
Staff & Administration
01
Staff decisions are final. If you disagree, contact us through Discord — do not argue in game or public channels.

Report bugs immediately. Exploiting a bug before reporting it will be punished, even if you report it afterwards.

One account per player. Multi-accounting for advantage is not permitted. Exception: declared to staff

Use proper channels. Contact staff through Discord or in-game tickets. Do not harass staff members privately.
